Kushies was founded as Diana Dolls Wear Ltd. in 1953 by Mary Malinowski in Canada. Founded as a small cottage industry, the company grew into a manufacturer of doll clothes and accessories. Today, the company is owned by Mary's daughter, Susan, and her husband, Sam Perez. Both have been exploring other market opportunities for the company's expansion. In 1988, Kushies cloth diaper was launched to offer many products, ranging from layette to bedding, bath, food and more.
